Services

Investigative Resources Unlimited, Inc. offers a wide variety of services to companies and the general public.
Here are some things you should know before hiring a private investigator:

* Do they have a license? A private investigator should be able to produce a copy of such a license immediately for you.  Avoid 'information brokers.' These organizations offer “background checks” that are nothing more than database searches of old public records.  A professional criminal check is verified by the private investigator for accuracy.

* Do you need to pay extra for convenient offices? No, not unless you want to. Most of our services done remotely.  The formality of a meeting is usually not necessary.  Ask any firm you are considering if the work will be done over the phone or via mail.  If so, don't pay more for the same effort on the part of the firm.

* Will you get a contract? Like any other service, you should get a contract that indicates what you are getting for the money.  If they cannot or will not present you with a contract, do business elsewhere.

* Are they experienced? Some private investigators have little or no investigative background.  Those with military or law enforcement backgrounds may seem like good qualifications for P.I. work, but in actuality, they are totally different fields requiring specific training.  It is important that you know the qualifications and experience of the investigator that will be working on your case. They should be experienced investigative experts.

* Are they insured?  It is just good common sense to check for insurance coverage before you hire a P.I.  Uninsured investigators could hold you liable for damage or injury as a result of pursing your case.  We carry liability coverage to protect our clients.  A reputable investigator should present a certificate of insurance coverage for you to review and verify.

If you require an investigative service that is not listed on the right, give us a call at 813-531-8887 and we will be happy to discuss your needs. If we can't provide that particular service, we can direct you to someone who will.
